Physical Characteristics
 
  • Inflorescence is up to 13 cm long

  • Flowers are 8-10 cm in diameter

    • Pink to purple in color

    • White or cream throat

    • Petals are 5 cm long and 5 cm wide

 

Habitat
 
  • Native to south-eastern Mexico and Central America

  • It is an epiphytic plant on trees in humid forests

  • Lithophytic on granite slopes

  • Grows up to around 1400 m above sea level
