Physical Characteristics

Adult males can be 2.7 m long with a 60-70 cm long tail and weigh 60 to 100 kg

Females are substantially smaller

Adults are usually cinnamoun to rufous brown and have a white underside

Young pumas are spotted and eventually turn to the colors of an adult


Habitat

Can live in many habitats from temperate, coniferous forests to low, multistrata, and tropical rainforests

It can be found from British Columbia to Patagonia

Found from around 2000 m above sea level to sea level

The national parks they are found in are the Corcovado National Park, Santa Rosa Park, and the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve


Behavior

The puma is an extremely good hunter

It can leap 16 feet in the air

Is a good climber

Mainly is on the ground however
