Reflection

Our trip to Costa Rica was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I was able to bond with my classmates even more because I got to go white water rafting, ziplining, and hiking with them in a foreign country. We saw exotic birds and animals in Tirimbina and La Selva, climbed over volcanic rock at Arenal, ate natural foods at Don Juan's Farm, got homecooked meals from our homestay family, and bathed in hot springs. It is hard to chose a favorite from all of these amazing experiences, but the homestays were amazing. I was a little dissapointed to find that our homestay didn't have any older kids in it, but when I got there, that changed. We had two young kids and they were amazing. We played cards, soccer, and hung out with them. I also loved going on the nighthike at La Selva, a biological research station. It was pretty scary seeing one of the most deadly snakes just two feet away from us, but it was worth it. If I could do this trip over again, I would do nothing different.
